*Chi~Voices: A Poetic Film Series Kickstarter Campaign has 11 days Left!

Good Early Morning All,

I woke up this morning with a heavy heart. It’s been a long time since I’ve been really fearful for not completing something highly important, not just for me but also for a team of people.

For those of you who don’t already know, Chi~Voices: A Poetic Film Series is a project that I created almost a year ago after the death of Jonalya Watkins (6-month baby who was murdered in Chicago). I wanted to create a platform where spoken word artists (including at-risk youth) can creatively express their thoughts and ideas about youth violence, specifically in Chicago. I’m choosing to use this set-up because there hasn’t been a film that is told through spoken word (at least, not to my knowledge).

I have built a team, and we have spent months finding other resources for funding and now it all comes down to this…..We are raising the last $2,000 solely for equipment. That’s it. With 11 days left, we now need $1,219 to reach our goal. We are serious when we say every bit counts. Please donate, share and continue to spread love in the world.
